| Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner Best Music Score 2013 Canadian Screen Award | The fourth nomination is the charm for composers Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner, as last night the team was awarded a 2013 Canadian Screen Award for Best Music Score for the Flashpoint episode "Day Game". The pair have been nominated for three previous Gemini Awards for earlier seasons but this is their first win. CTV's cross-border police drama Flashpoint won several awards Thursday evening in Toronto including nods for writing, direction, picture editing, and music score. It led the TV side of the new Canadian Screen Awards, earning 11 nominations in total. | 
| "We're especially proud to have won on Flashpoint Night" says Amin referring to the special recognition award from the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television for Flashpoint's groundbreaking contribution to the industry. The fast paced show, which filmed its series finale in December, has been a challenging and rewarding experience for both Amin and Ari who have worked together on a number of TV and film projects including Disney's "Get Ed" for which they received an Emmy nomination.
This year marks the inaugural Canadian Screen Awards, honouring the best in film and TV, replacing the previously separate Gemini and Genie Awards. Flashpoint's remaining nominations including best drama will be seen Sunday night in a televised broadcast to be hosted by comedian Martin Short.
With production completed Amin and Ari are embarking on other film, TV and album projects. By popular demand their Flashpoint theme is now available on iTunes, CDbaby and other digital outlets.

| Flashpoint Leads the Way Once Again | The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television has changed the face of Canadian broadcast entertainment awards. The Genie film awards and Gemini television awards have been merged to form the new Canadian Screen Awards, celebrating the finest in production, performance, writing and craft in 2011.
Leading the way is FLASHPOINT (CTV, Bell Media) with a total of 11 nominations. Among the esteemed group of nominees are composers Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner for 'Best Original Music Score for a Series' on the FLASHPOINT episode "Day Game". FLASHPOINT is a Canadian police drama television series that debuted in 2008 and during its 5 seasons garnered critical and popular acclaim worldwide. The series' finale was broadcast in two parts in December and was viewed by record audiences.
The winners of the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television's Canadian Screen Awards will be announced at a two-hour inaugural gala hosted my Martin Short and broadcast live Sunday March 3, 2013 at 8 p.m. (8:30 N.T) on CBC.
