FLASHPOINT on CBS and CTV

** August 2009:  Flashpoint sets a record with 19 nominations for 2009 Gemini Awards, including for Best Original Music Score for a Program or Series **

With music and theme by Emmy nominated composers Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner. The series stars Enrico Colantoni, Hugh Dillon and David Paetkau and airs on CBS and CTV.

Now in its second season, the ratings for "Flashpoint" have garnered record ratings on both CBS and CTV. Since its premier in summer 2008, the show quickly became one of the most popular shows on television.

Amin is thrilled to team up again with Ari Posner on the underscore (the two also wrote the theme) on the rapidly developing show. Together both composers can work at a lightning pace that matches the intensity of the weekly drama. This production represents another in a series of shows co-composed by the team of Amin Bhatia and Ari Posner. Other shows include "Get Ed" for which the two writers received an Emmy nomination. "Flashpoint" is a rewarding and challenging production, with a brisk production pace that keeps Amin focused on the new series and putting his recent album release - "Virtuality" - somewhat on the back burner. "Flashpoint," whose working title was "Sniper," is a police drama about an elite group of highly-skilled enforcement police officers that rescue hostages, bust gangs, and defuse bombs. They are known as the Strategic Response Unit (SRU). The team is inspired by real-life emergency task forces trained to get inside a suspect's head and find their emotional breaking point, or the "flashpoint".
