FREAKY STORIES: Have you heard the one about the people who went to Mexico and brought home a sewer rat thinking it was a Chihuahua? Or a teenager who had a nest of spiders in her unwashed beehive hairdo? Yeah, I bet you have. That's what Freaky Stories is all about. So get ready: you'll be grossed out and spooked by all the freaky things that happened to a "friend of a friend..." And freaky stories need freaky music so...
The Music

Each episode of Freaky Stories is made up of three short animated segments of different styles. To emphasize variety, producer John Delmage and music supervisors Glenn Morley and Marvin Dolgay used a different composer for each segment.

Amin's contribution was to the story "Hanging by A Thread" in which two fashion design "plates" compete for best dressed honours. The score begins with high fashion euro-techno, and as the two models meet for a showdown the score changes to spaghetti western!

No less than 23 composers were used in season 1, many of them from the Guild of Canadian Film Composers. The result was a series with as much variety in the music scores as in the visual styles of animation. It was a wonderful team project for the entire composing community, with more to come. The series has been picked up for another season.

"Freaky Stories" is produced by Decode Entertainment. The series airs on YTV in English Canada, and La Canal Famille in Montreal.
